knightd68 Although made up of excellent individual pieces, it also plays like a single dark dystopian tone poem. There are moments where you feel like you're swimming towards a moonlit surface, but before you get there, you're drowning again. With hindsight you're not even close. The VIll4in-y glitch art cover would look particularly glorious as an LP cover. Brilliant Favorite track: Now You Are Not Even a Memory.

Chenaar Sumatran Black delivers a deeply mysterious soundtrack to some labyrinthine abstract narrative. Emotionally unsettling, Broken Timelines is a worthy companion piece to Elegy for a Lost Cosmonaut. Favorite track: The Faintest of Echoes from an Alternate Timeline.

John Battema There's a beautiful cinematic edge to SB's work that I find is often lacking in other dark ambient music. As soon as the album finishes, I am ready to start it all over again. Lovely stuff and another terrific offering from one of my favorite dark ambient artists. Favorite track: Now You Are Not Even a Memory.

peri.peri Sumatran Black gives you cosmic chills with this one. As of the first track, it feels like you’re falling deep into the void of your subconscious. Exquisite. Favorite track: Lost in this World of Infinite Choices and Parallel Realities.
