This Loving Presence

Oblaky This album stirs the most sensitive, fragile, almost primordial emotional places, not sure why. If you have attachment issues, coped with loss, loneliness, separation (and who hasn't, in some way?), this album covers those places, softly, gently opens and explores them. This Loving Presence, softer, kinder introversion. Hugely recommended. And thank you for creating this music. Favorite track: It's Not There.

knightd68 This is a particularly dark release by Sumatran Black. On the face of it, maybe not as dark or as ambient as earlier LPs, but on a few listens in and the bleakness that made those records so compelling is oozing out of these 6 tracks too. No one does this kinda stuff quite as well as SB. Favorite track: Hey.

about

Lo-fi electronica for sleepless nights thinking of another tomorrow.

"These tracks were put together during the editing sessions for "A Taxonomy of Grief". Like most of us during the pandemic, my sleep patterns became increasingly out of kilter so I found myself working on these drowsy tracks through the night and early morning over the course of a few days in late December." - Sumatran Black
